Fish in ponds add movement and flashes of color; aquatic plants like exotic
lilies and night bloomers add interest and fragrance. Contrary to popular
belief, ponds don’t add to the mosquito problem. Instead they help control
mosquito populations by attracting snails, slugs, and mosquito-eating birds.
